The idea comes from the bible, Mark: 10:17-27. We see every one of our students as the rich man.
When the rich man went to Jesus, asking what his mission was, he was demanding a deeper understanding and recognition of his identity. As creatures, the more serious the exploration of identity is, the more certain the great love is.
“Let us love, then, because he first loved us.”(1 John 4:19). As students know their identities and directions well, they will naturally show the power of love from God. The power will lead them to find and live their own missions and to serve with love.
